READY-TO-USE SUPPLEMENTARY FOOD (RUSF)
Plumpy’Sup™ is a ready-to-use supplementary food (RUSF), also classified as a fortified complementary food. It is designed for the treatment of moderate acute malnutrition in children from 6 months of age, as part of structured nutritional supplementation programmes.
This product does not replace a varied, nutritious diet or breastfeeding.
Exclusive breastfeeding is recommended for the first six months of life, with continued breastfeeding advised up to two years of age or beyond.
